"My Family (6 adults, 1 child) came here to celebrate my 60th birthday. The memories we created while staying here will last forever which is absolutely priceless to me. No one wanted to leave. It is located in the heart of Wailea which (in my opinion) is more relaxing and less congested than other parts of the island. The pool and fitness center from this unit is close by. The pool is literally right below the lanai. The unit is very clean and spacious for a large family like ours. The décor is beautiful and immediately gives you that island feel. RELAX and take it all in. To access the beach you simply walk across the street and across the Grand Wailea property...a leisurely and scenic 10 - 15 minute walk. Alternatively you can take a less than 5 minute drive to get direct beach access. There you can swim or rent snorkel gear and snorkel right off the beach where you can see very colorful fish and sea turtles. (if you want to snorkel more often rent the equipment at Boss Frog's). This unit has many amenities including a stove, microwave, grill as well as a washer and dryer so you can pack a little lighter and save on eating out if desired. Restaurants and shops are also nearby (about a 5 minute drive) at the shops of Wailea. We rented this unit from Maui Vacation Advisers. Cary, Keala, Courtney and Erica were all very professional and were always available to answer questions. They also provided very helpful information in preparation for our arrival. They'll even assist you in renting a car. A real class act. We did have a few minor issues (lighting the grill and a leak in the washing machine) but the issues were addressed and corrected within one business day. I highly recommend this unit and will come back in a heart beat when the opportunity arises again.
